Product overview

Vial selection comes down to glass type before anything else. Type I borosilicate is chemically inert, resists thermal shock and is required for injectables and anything sensitive to alkali leaching from the glass surface. Type III soda-lime is markedly cheaper and entirely adequate for dry powders and non-critical liquids.

We stock 1 ml to 100 ml in both clear and amber. Amber blocks UV below 470 nm and is the correct choice for any light-sensitive contents — an oxidation-prone oil in clear glass will often fail a stability protocol that the same oil in amber passes comfortably.

Closures are supplied to match: rubber stoppers with aluminium crimp seals, screw caps with PE or PTFE liners, and tamper-evident options. Sold by the carton with volume pricing at pallet quantities.

Questions about Empty Glass Vials (All Sizes)

What is the difference between Type I and Type III glass?

Type I borosilicate is chemically inert and resists thermal shock and alkali leaching, which makes it necessary for injectables and sensitive formulations. Type III soda-lime is considerably cheaper and perfectly adequate for dry powders and non-critical liquids where glass-surface interaction is not a concern.

Should I choose clear or amber vials?

Choose amber for anything light-sensitive — essential oils, vitamins, oxidation-prone actives — because amber blocks UV below 470 nm. Clear glass is fine for stable contents and lets the customer see the product, which matters for some retail presentations.

Do you supply matching closures?

Yes. Every vial size ships with matching closures: rubber stoppers with aluminium crimp seals, screw caps with PE or PTFE liners, and tamper-evident options. Specify the neck finish when requesting a quote.

Can we make this to your specification?

Yes. Mesh size, assay strength, blend ratio, packaging format and label are all specifiable. We are your turnkey manufacturing partner — if you need this material milled differently, blended with another active, or delivered as a finished encapsulated product under your own brand, that is ordinary work for us rather than an exception.
